Ultra low cost touch screen system from Datasound
An ultra low cost touch screen industrial computer system implementing a 5.7 LCD with an IP65 rated front panel has been launched by Datasound Laboratories. The AHM-6051 incorporates an LCD which supports up to 320 x 240 resolution and has a brightness of 500 cd/m2.
A fanless 203MHz Samsung ARM 2410 RISC CPU is at the heart of the system which has 64MB RAM and 64MB Flash as standard. The flash memory is used to store the pre-installed Windows CE 4.2 Operating System which is licensed on every unit. Other features include 2 USB ports (one host, one client), LAN and 2 COM ports and a watchdog timer which is programmable from 30.5 to 512 seconds.
Weighing just 1Kg and capable of being powered from a single 24V DC input, the RoHS compliant system measures 204mm x 149mm x 46mm and has an operating temperature of 0°C to +50°C.
