Parker Hannifin prioritises continuous innovation and attention to the environment. It is introducing two new refrigeration dryer series, PSE (Polestar Smart-E) and SPS (Starlette Plus-E), to bring its complete range of low pressure refrigeration dryers up to date, using the new low GWP (Global Warming Potential) refrigerant gas R513A.

“Terminal operators want to reduce damage and improve efficiency when handling containers on the second rail,” said Mark Nailer, Industry Manager for Hyster Europe. “In close co-operation with terminal customers we have developed a ReachStacker with a raised cab and remote control for pedestrian operation of the boom and spreader.”

Six new Hyster electric lift trucks which feature special engineering to meet the demands of brewery operations have been provided to the Heineken Ireland site in Cork. Heineken Ireland is a wholly owned subsidiary of Heineken International.

In many major cities, the air is so bad that it poses an increased risk of related illnesses for people if it is left unfiltered. Air filtration systems can significantly improve the quality of urban life. Retrofitting of filter systems in existing building services systems of schools or hotels is often difficult. It is expensive and technically complicated. 

To help avoid the costs of moving premises, Hyster Europe is helping businesses grow within their existing infrastructure thanks to space saving lift trucks. To help operations maximise their existing warehouse storage space, Hyster Europe has developed a range of IC powered Spacesaver lift trucks up to seven tonne lift capacities, and smaller footprints. 

JOST UK is to supply Edbro hydraulic systems for 57 new aggregate tipper lorries ordered by CEMEX. The vehicles involved are all eight-wheeler rigid trucks rather than tractor-trailer units, with a gross load capacity of 32 tonnes. They are to be delivered in stages through 2019 and the order to build them has been split between two different OEM companies.

As part of an investment project to improve the automation at its Wolverhampton National Distribution Centre, Brammer Buck & Hickman has recently completed a successful communication upgrade to its Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems, to ensure customers receive the goods they need when they need them.

Hyster Europe used data from telematics to create an analysis which offers insight into ways to reduce the cost per tonne moved. The overall conclusion is that productivity has a greater impact on Total Cost of Operation (TCO) compared to minimising fuel consumption. Whilst Hyster Container Handlers offer one of the lowest fuel consumption rates, this has been achieved without compromising productivity.

With electrification projects underway for the Port of Los Angeles in the US and Valencia in Spain, Hyster Europe reveals some surprising facts about the progress of the zero-emission Container Handler projects. Two Laden Container Handlers and one ReachStacker are currently in development at the Hyster Big Truck Development Centre in the Netherlands.

Hyster Europe has launched a compact Reach Truck series with a tilting mast, suited to warehouses where space is at a premium. By tilting the mast, the Hyster R1.0E, 1.2E and 1.4E Reach Trucks provide greater manoeuvrability, saving all-important centimetres so the truck can handle stock in even narrower aisles.
