BSIF announces support for Maintec 2018
The British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF), the trade body for the UK’s safety industry, has announced its support for Maintec, the UK’s only exhibition dedicated to maintenance, plant and asset management held at the NEC, Birmingham on 6th and 7th November 2018.  The BSIF, who provide support and guidance on a wide range of occupational safety issues will be attending Maintec 2018 in recognition of safety being a increasingly important addition to the maintenance engineers job responsibility.

Bosch Rexroth confirms partnership for Maintec 2018
It has been confirmed that Bosch Rexroth will be partnering the event Maintect, the UK’s only exhibition dedicated to maintenance, plant and asset management which will be held at the NEC, Birmingham 6-7th November 2018. Bosch Rexroth will be exhibiting at the event for the first time and join many other maintenance technology, asset management and plant equipment manufacturers and suppliers who have confirmed they will be returning to the show including; RMS, Megger, Fluke, Cordex, Shire Systems, Radwell, Pruftechnik and UE Systems.

Delta at Hannover Messe 2018 unveiled its integrated Smart Factory and Energy Management solutions to enable higher productivity and energy conservation through smart manufacturing. Delta’s High-Flexibility Multi-Tasking Smart Production Line features seamless integration of digital manufacturing monitoring platforms, IIoT technologies, three robot workstations and a smart conveyor to let visitors perform on-site order processing and real-time monitoring of the customised production process.

Sensor and Cloud data interaction scans in 3D
At the Hannover Messe show last week the Pepperl+Fuchs stand allowed visitors to view their likeness as a digital image and experienced production in lot size one. Visitors were able to scan themselves in 3D and have the image printed on the front page of a trade fair magazine. With the help of a digital twin, the production process on a sheet metal bending machine was simulated and the results used live for optimisation in response to the differing properties of various raw materials.
