Open Frame Panel PC range from DSL is perfect for OEMs
Designed with cost in mind and built to handle a multitude of applications, including industrial automation, kiosks and process control, the new VDX-LCD range of open frame panel pc’s from Datasound Laboratories provide ultra low power processing with a choice of display sizes.
The core of the system is a fanless 800MHz Vortex86DX CPU with 128MB DDR2 of RAM and 4MB of SPI Flash. An on board IDE port will support additional Flash through Disk-on-Chip modules which are available with memory ranging from 64MB to 4GB which can be fitted onto the board.
Display sizes range from 6.4, 8.4, 10.4, 12.1” (1280x1024 resolution) to 15.1(1024x768) all of which incorporate integral serial or USB touch operation. The computer also features 2 USB ports, 10/100 Base-T LAN and 4 COM ports (1 RS232/422/485), a Parallel Port, 16 lines of GPIO and AC'97 audio.
Expansion is available via PC/104 or the optional PC/104+ connector fitted to the CPU module. The system is fully RoHS Compliant and operates at temperatures of 0°C to +50°C.
The VDX-LCD has been designed to run allow the user to run Windows XP Pro / XP Embedded and other operating systems such as Windows CE, Linux and DOS.
Supported by a 24 month warranty, the pc enables OEMs to offer their customers a complete solution in terms of both function and size with the added benefits of thermal management, future expansion, and simple installation.
