Stainless steel keyboard with USB/PS2 interfaces is a cost effective solution to unsupervised areas
The new new low cost USB/PS2 stainless steel keyboard from RAFI GB is well suited for use in non-supervised areas and features many new technologies. The standard computer interfaces make them ideal for integration into almost every kind of application providing the benefits of robust construction and established means of data input.
Based on the tried and tested keyboard layout and footprint, the module uses all stainless steel front end components which are resistant to vandalism. A high quality sealed trackerball with a secure bezel provides cursor control and RAFI’s RK90 discrete-click tactile switch system with stainless steel keytops present a familiar QWERTY design to users. A stainless steel front plate retains the keys and prevents removal and the switch contacts are protected against impact by shock absorbers.

A new innovative design prevents over pressure or impact on the keycaps damaging the switch electronics behind, but ingeniously also providing a complete IP seal interface that can be flushed cleaned in specific application.

This new keyboard complements the many other designs available from RAFI’s interactive kiosk range. Knowing that customers often need keyboards with that little extra, Rafi have built flexibility into their products in order to provide special illumination, IP67 trackerballs, watertight seals, housing colours and other custom requirements.
