Scorpion's AMF Bypass Switch

Essential for companies needing to protect critical equipment, the Bypass Switch can be installed as an integral part of an AMF Panel. If a fault occurs, the switch can be operated to restore mains power supply to the load.

The Bypass Switch is also a practical health and safety feature. When the AMF is serviced, the Bypass Switch isolates the power from the AMF to minimise the danger of touching live parts whilst working on terminals during testing. In addition, the ability to switch the power during servicing also prevents any risk of inadvertently dropping out the mains supply.

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, Regulation 4(3) states: ‘work on or near to an electrical system shall be carried out in such a manner as not to give rise so far as reasonably practical, to danger’. Therefore installing an AMF Bypass Switch is a prudent and responsible action to take in meeting health and safety legislation.
