New flexible voltage tig welder launched by GYS
GYS Ltd, the French welding equipment and battery charger manufacturer, has announced the launch of their new microprocessor controlled, TIG 200 HF DC FV ( Flexible Voltage) welder utilising Inverter welding technology.
This low cost inverter welder, which is ideal for both 110V TIG and MMA welding using 1,6 to 4.0mm electrodes is available for just over £900, making it one the of the most cost effective welders of its type on the market. It is designed for pipe welders and boilermakers as well as general factory and equipment maintenance work using mild steel, stainless steel and copper. This single phase, 230V machine is rated 200A @ 40% duty cycle for normal use at 20°C and has a 85V OCV

TIG 200 HF DC FV employs latest GYS technology with both Flexible Voltage and PFC (Power Factor Correction) allowing it to automatically adapt to any voltage in the range 85V-265V. The advanced PFC (Power Factor Correction) device enables the machine to maintain its high welding performance on sub optimal power supplies, perhaps caused by an imperfect generator or very long extension leads. Other benefits are reduced power costs as it is able to draw more energy from the plug.

Features include fully adjustable normal TIG, Pulsed TIG and Spot TIG modes with a 5 memory capability to save selected settings, excellent arc characteristics, adjustable HF or LIFT Start. It also has IP23 protection rating for outside use.

When TIG welding, the Lift Arc function provides easy to start welding at the same time preventing tungsten inclusions. It also has an adjustable arc down slope function which automatically releases the torch at the end of the weld.

It is lightweight and has an easy to operate and read digital control panel.

Options include a connection for a foot remote control as well as an accessory pack with a TIG torch and welding cables to suit the application
