Enclosures aboard ships or mounted in offshore installations can face extreme environmental conditions including high temperature, high humidity, shock, vibration, and exposure to corrosive seawater. CEE Norm announces an extension to the Hensel range of Enycase enclosures, with DK cable junction boxes now DNV approved for marine and offshore applications.
Especially designed to meet the challenging requirements of the offshore industry, the DK cable junction boxes are sealed to IP67, offering full protection from submersion in water to depths of 1m for up to 15 minutes. They are acid- and saltwater-resistant, and feature saltwater-proof cable entry via IP66/67 metric knockouts.

The enclosures are manufactured from impact resistant polycarbonate, and are flame retardant and self-extinguishing in accordance with IEC 60 695-2-11 up to 960 degrees C. Being halogen-free and silicon-free, the enclosures ensure no toxic fumes will be released in the event of a fire.
DNV (Det Norske Veritas) provides industry certification for products aboard ships, high speed and light craft, and for products used in other offshore installations.
Ensuring reliable and safe distribution of energy in challenging environmental conditions, Enycase DK cable junction boxes provide a solid, reliable, modern and user-friendly design based on over 75 years experience.
