CoroCut® R size inserts now feature new -GM geometry for greater chip control in heavy grooving operations. Suitable for components that include cam shafts, turbine rings and discs, shafts and rolls, this new innovation from cutting tool and tooling system expert, Sandvik Coromant, offers a special cutting action that forms and narrows the chips to ensure their removal from the groove in the most efficient way.

GC1040, a new insert grade from cutting tool and tooling system specialist Sandvik Coromant, has been designed to give secure performance with long-lasting sharp edges when milling stainless steels. Although developed as a broad grade for the stainless steel area (ISO M), even in extreme situations such as machining austenitic or duplex materials with end mill tools featuring long overhands, a safe, optimized performance is assured.

As part of its CoroPak 10.2 programme of new product introductions, cutting tool and tooling system specialist Sandvik Coromant is launching an innovative new range of CoroCut® QS™ tool holders. The shorter holders improve the stability and part quality when performing parting and grooving operations on sliding head automatic lathes.

Aware that the wind power segment is experiencing growth in the region of 30 per cent year-on-year, cutting tool and tooling systems specialist Sandvik Coromant is introducing CoroMill® 170, a gear milling roughing disc that speeds up the machining times of critical wind turbine gearbox and transmission components.

As part of its CoroPak 10.2 programme of new product introductions, cutting tool and tooling systems specialist Sandvik Coromant is launching a brand new light cutting geometry for its CoroMill® 790 indexable insert end milling cutter. Designed specifically to get the best from cutting aluminium components, the new geometry is expected to appeal to manufacturers operating within the aerospace industry.

More than 300 new inserts from cutting tool and tooling systems specialist Sandvik Coromant are being introduced in a new series of optimized ISO S turning geometries with easy-to-choose guidelines to meet every machining requirement.

Sandvik Coromant is launching a new milling grade, GC1040, aimed at providing a cost effective and high quality cutting insert solution to the extremely tough machining of austenitic stainless and duplex materials. Machine shop customers now have a grade that can be relied upon to perform securely with consistently sharp cutting edges, low forces and slow wear.

Sandvik Coromant has released its latest innovation, a free App designed to provide engineers and machinists with a convenient mobile resource for calculating cutting data. Once downloaded and installed, the App helps users optimize performance of their turning, milling and drilling applications by calculating optimal setting based on a job’s unique parameters.

According to Sandvik Coromant, the manufacturing industry is about to see the launch of increased threading security. With the addition of new C geometry chip forming inserts to the established CoroThread® 266 programme it is now possible to maximize chip control and enable more continuous unsupervised machining.

Cutting tool and tooling systems specialist Sandvik Coromant is extending its Sialon ceramic grade CC6060 range to support the turning and milling of heat resistant super alloys (HRSAs). These latest introductions to the product programme include inserts for semi-finish to finish machining.
