Using breakthrough technologies, Flux is a suitable tool for the analysis, design and optimisation of modern applications such as electric rotating machines, actuators and sensors, high power electrical equipment, heat treatment or electromagnetic compatibility.

Engineering students from across the world are once again being invited by Altair to participate in the 15th annual FEKO Student Competition. The competition seeks under-graduate and post-graduate students who have worked on a supervised project in electromagnetic engineering using FEKO, Altair's Comprehensive Electromagnetic (EM) analysis software suite.

As a result of Altair winning a benchmarking competition, Airbus will implement a new pre- and post- processing tool based on Altair’s solutions HyperMesh and HyperView as the new platform worldwide. The benchmarking competition, which was initiated by Airbus in early 2016, has led to this agreement between Altair and Airbus.

Best application of HPC in Manufacturing has been won by Altair, in the annual HPCwire Readers’ and Editors’ Choice Awards for simulation work done with Stanley Black & Decker using Altair’s HyperWorks Unlimited Physical Appliance powered by SGI. The award was presented at the 2016 International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC16), in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The upcoming availability of Altair PBS Cloud has been announced by Altair, as its latest appliance solution to further cloud computing for organisations. Altair PBS Cloud is a solution to build and run high-performance computing (HPC) appliances for both public clouds, private clouds, and bare-metal infrastructure. Altair will release Altair PBS Cloud in the first quarter of 2017 following conclusion of a private preview.

Altair Engineering has announced the start of a collaboration with TotalSim. The collaboration will start with TotalSim UK adopting HyperMesh, part of the HyperWorks suite, as their main geometry pre-processor for CFD. This demonstrates the advances made in the development of Altair’s CFD toolset.

Slovakian service provider signed as new HyperWorks Reseller
A new reseller agreement has been signed by Altair with IPM Solutions, which will provide Slovakian customers with local HyperWorks sales and consulting. IPM Solutions covers the customers’ needs within the entire territory of Slovakia. The company has three offices, in Presov, Zilina, and Bratislava, which enables them to react quickly to its customers’ needs and requirements.
