  Altair, a global technology company providing solutions in product development, high-performance computing and data intelligence, will present its electromagnetic solutions at the 13th EuCAP from 31st March to 5th April, in Krakow, Poland.

The release and immediate availability of the Altair Inspire simulation-driven design platform, and the Altair 365 cloud collaboration platform, has been announced by Altair. The Altair Inspire platform enables manufacturers to leverage simulation to drive the entire design process, accelerating the pace of innovation and reducing time-to-market. 

  The initial keynote presentations and overall agenda for Altair's 2018 Global Altair Technology Conference, taking place at the Palais des Congrès d’Issy in Paris, France from 16th-18th October, has been announced. 

It has been announced that Altair is pleased to add GE’s Flow Simulator software to the Altair Partner Alliance (APA) and offer direct licenses to Altair customers. Flow Simulator is an integrated flow, heat transfer, and combustion design software that enables mixed fidelity simulations to optimise machine and systems design.

Altair has released the 2018 versions of leading electromagnetic (EM) simulation software FEKO, WinProp, Flux and FluxMotor. These electromagnetic solver tools, part of Altair’s HyperWorks, the platform for Innovation, are widely used to accelerate the global design process for the automotive, aerospace, defense, communications, consumer electronics, energy, and healthcare industries.

  At this year's Hannover Messe, from 23rd-27th April in Germany, Altair will present its solutions featuring simulation-driven design for modern manufacturing methods, digital tool chains for the automation of engineering processes, and system simulation for model-based development of connected products.

At this year's JEC World, the largest international composites industry show, taking place 6th-8th March in Paris, Altair will present its comprehensive technology and expertise for the design, optimisation, and simulation of composite structures and materials. The Altair-hosted opening day conference session for ‘Simulation-driven Design for Composites’ will feature presentations from companies including Airbus, CETIM, Gordon Murray Design Limited, and Pronal demonstrating how Altair helped them create innovative products and improve their development processes for composites.

  Altair Engineering has announced the addition of RAMDO, software developed by RAMDO Solutions, to theAltair Partner Alliance(APA). RAMDO is an Uncertainty Quantification (UQ), reliability analysis, and Reliability-based Design Optimisation (RBDO) software platform. 

Altair has announced the release of Inspire 2018 simulation-driven design software. Available through its solidThinking channel partner network and directly to its HyperWorks user community, Inspire 2018 marks another milestone in Altair’s leadership in generative design, optimisation and simulation.

Altair Engineering has announcedthe addition of Tech-X’s VSim to theAltair Partner Alliance(APA)’s software offering. VSim is a computational application for simulating electromagnetics in the presence of complex structures and dynamical charged particles. Because VSim supports massively parallel computing that scales to tens of thousands of processor cores, users are able to model complex geometries and more physical phenomena while still obtaining results within a reasonable amount of elapsed time.

Taking place on September 19th at the British Motor Museum in Gaydon, the biennial Altair Technology Conference (ATC), now in its tenth year, will focus on new strategies and examples of digital design in the development of innovative products. 

The latest appliance solution to enable and expand cloud computing for organisations has been introduced by Altair Engineering. PBScloud.io allows users to model, build and run High Performance Computing (HPC) appliances on both public and private clouds, as well as bare metal infrastructures.

Announcing the addition of Phoenix Integration’s ModelCenter to its software offering, the Altair Partner Alliance have made it available for use by all HyperWorks customers. ModelCenter is a vendor-neutral software framework for creating and automating multi-tool workflows, optimising product designs, and sharing engineering data and knowledge. ModelCenter Integrate increases productivity by enabling users to execute significantly more simulations using less time and resources.

  Nominations are now closed for Altair’s 5th Enlighten Award. After the review and screening, 29 nominations qualified as finalists for the judges’ review, with four submissions in the full vehicle category, 15 in the module category and ten in this year’s new enabling technology category.

  The Altair Partner Alliance (APA) has announced the addition of Additive Works’ Amphyon to its software offering. Amphyon is a simulation-driven, process software for powder bed-based, laser beam melting additive manufacturing processes.

  Altair has acquired Carriots S.L, an Internet of Things (IoT) technology company from Madrid, Spain founded in 2011. The company is the developer of Carriots, a complete IoT Application Enablement Platform (AEP) to rapidly connect and manage devices, collect and analyse data, and build intelligent applications together with enterprise business systems.

  The release of FluxMotor, a dedicated platform focusing on the pre-design of electric rotating machines has been announced by Altair. FluxMotor is part of Altair’s HyperWorks CAE Suite, which includes Flux the leading software for low frequency electromagnetic and thermal simulations.

The full agenda for the ninth European Altair Technology Conference (ATC) has been announced by Altair. The conference will be held at the Congressforum in Frankenthal, Germany, from 26th to 28th June 2017. The first day of the conference on 26th June will offer insights into product development solutions for engineering domains such as mechanical, fluid, additive manufacturing, electromagnetics and system simulation with in-depth information on four different simulation related topics.

Altairhas acquired MODELiiS, a supplier of electronic design automation software for circuit modelling, system design and simulation tools based in Grenoble, France. Capitalising on strong expertise in digital and analogue domains, their solutions are geared towards the Internet of Things (IoT), autonomous vehicles, and complex hybrid systems.

Together Altair and Artemis Racing have applied design and simulation technology to help place Artemis Racing in a position to take it all in the 35th America’s Cup. The design of the daggerboards – foils that lift the boat out of the water to break the drag barrier – will be a critical differentiator between the competing teams as they have a significant impact on a boat’s performance.
