Continuing its work with the UK’s Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (Nuclear AMRC), Westinghouse Electric Company are working on an additional advanced manufacturing study to explore potential design efficiencies to reduce significantly the build lead-times of the Westinghouse Small Modular Reactor (SMR).

The University of Strathclyde’s Advanced Forming Research Centre, part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, has renewed its membership agreement with German-based WF-Maschinenbau. The three-year deal will lead to further collaboration on research and development between the Inchinnan-based facility and the international metal-forming machine manufacturer.
