The worldwide Cleaning In Place (CIP) bio-waste decontamination and hygienic process engineer, Suncombe has announced the launch of a sterilising version of its well-established MobileCIP portable CIP System. Primarily for use in the BioPharma sector, the new range is called the MobileCIP/SIP and has been developed in close co-ordination with major biopharma clients, which requested the ability to carry out Sterilise in Place (SIP) directly after Cleaning in Place.

VT5 hoist is selected for 35 tonne crane at automotive plant
As three cranes are installed in the busy press at BMW Group´s Mini plant in Swindon, UK, the first crane features Verlinde Eurobloc VT electric-hoist technology. As part of a project to replace older lifting equipment, the crane is rated at 35-tonne capacity and is fitted with a Eurobloc VT5 electric wire-rope hoist from Verlinde. Based on an overhead double-girder system, the crane was designed, manufactured and installed by Pelloby, Verlinde´s UK distributor.

The SL300 hydraulic gantry has been announced by Enerpac as the latest innovation in the SL series telescoping hydraulic gantries, offering the highest lifting capacity on a 61cm (24”) track gauge in heavy lifting and rigging applications. The SL300 is equipped with two stage lifting cylinders for loads up to 3000kN.

Wastewater treatment standard increase with new scraper bridge
A two part project to integrate the operations of two wastewater treatment works is underway, and the first stage has been completed with six new, extra-large scraper bridges now hard at work at the Oldham, Lancs works. Operated by United Utilities, the Oldham and Royton wastewater treatment works are located about 4km apart in north east Manchester. They have been in operation for about 100 years and serve a growing population of around 150,000.

Partnering together, Street Crane and Hayward Tyler are to supply and install six new overhead cranes for its newly extended production facility, which is one of the most advanced of its kind in the world. Hayward Tyler designs, engineers and manufactures specialist motors and pumps for the most demanding environments across the global energy sector. Following a £20m investment it has turned its Luton-based factory into a ‘Centre of Excellence’, including a 30,000 sq ft extension, which has more than doubled production capacity.
