Precise coupling for modular assembly machines
Semiflex from SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG is a torsionally-stiff, precise shaft coupling, which is short in length to fit into small envelopes. Radial shaft misalignment is compensated via pivoting parallel movement of two pairs of coupling links. By design this compensation is free of restoring forces.
The all-metal coupling Semiflex Standard F 230 connects the drive shafts of multiple connected assembly units of modular assembly machines- modular chaining. These automations are the solution for a wide range of applications such as assemblies in the sectors automotive, electronics and telecommunication.

The chosen Semiflex Standard F 230 provides a combination of high torsional stiffness with 53 kNm/rad, a short design with a length of just 104 mm and a high radial misalignment capacity up to 1,6 mm. The misalignment capacity was essential due to variations inherent to the manufacturing process and machine design.

With clamp hubs the all-metal coupling provides a press-fit hub version and is easy to mount for a conversion of the product line. For an easy drop-out installation without moving any parts axially SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG offers the coupling with split-clamp hubs. In clamp hub version the coupling size is available in a range of bore diameters up to 44 mm, in split-clamp hub version up to 30 mm.
