Precise and compact coupling for a variable radial shaft offset - available with multiple options to meet exactly customer´s requirements
The Schmidt-Kupplung is a compact, torsionally stiff performance shaft coupling for a large, variable radial shaft offset. The well-balanced system transmits torque without adding side loads to the drive. The all-metal coupling is designed to transmit high torque in a compact envelope and provides high torsional stiffness and is ideal in lots of applications such as woodworking machines, roll forming machines, printing machines, packaging machines and paper making machines.
The precise coupling transmits torque under constant angular velocity at all possible offsets.
The compact system offers variable offsets between the drive and driven shaft during operation.
Three series are available with a torque range from 35 Nm to 6.610 Nm.
The series “Standard” is a symbiosis of performance, compact design and generous offset capacity up to 115 mm and torque transmission up to 2.875 Nm.
For higher torque requirements, the company SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG offers the Series „Power Plus“. This series offers more torque transmission up to 6.610 Nm while retaining compact design. The series „Offset Plus“ offers extreme parallel shaft offset up to 275 mm while retaining compact design. All these couplings are available in locking-assembly version with standard bore diameters depending on size up to 90 mm, standard hub-version and flange-mounting version.
The engineers of the coupling manufacture also realise coupling solutions optimised for specific application demands. For applications where space is limited and the coupling has to be mounted without moving any machine parts axially, the engineers designed special versions with split hubs for an easy drop-out installation. Versions for special ambient conditions are in the program. Couplings with special dimensions, for connecting by stud, aluminium versions or couplings for torque requirements up to 250.000 Nm are just examples of individual coupling solutions.
