Controlflex from SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG is a precise shaft coupling and is designed especially for the requirements of shaft encoders. The unique middle element is electrically insulating and accommodates all kinds of misalignment with very low restoring forces. This is essential for encoders due to their small and sensitive bearings. The misalignment is compensated in-plane in a remarkably small envelope. The coupling is easy to install thanks to clamp hubs. Additionally the anodized clamp hubs are balanced for high rpm applications up to 25.000 rpm. The modular construction ensures a combination of a variety of different bore diameters from stock.
In the web presence of the product area Controlflex, the coupling manufacture currently provides a real-time product animation. In a „real“ product image and appearance the technical user is able to study the defined encoder coupling interactively with additional features like zooming rotating and as an exploded drawing.
