Axially-stiff coupling in a modified shorter version
The Loewe GK from SCHMIDT-KUPPLUNG is designed to offer generous angular and radial misalignment compensation and at the same time resists axial motion.
In an application the coupling of the series “Torque” size 75 had to be integrated in an axially limited space. The coupling manufacturer modified the dimension and equipped the axially-stiff coupling with shorter clamp-hubs to ensure that the coupling fits into customer’s small envelope. The size 75 with an outer diameters of 74,5 mm has a torque capacity of 90 Nm and provides a radial misalignment capacity of 2 mm, angular of 3°.

The series Torque is available with outer diameters ranging from 27 to 100 mm and with a torque range up to 220 Nm. The couplings are always equipped with anodized aluminium clamp hubs and with bore sizes up to 50 mm.
Typical applications for these axially-stiff couplings are for example valve triggering systems, pick-and-place machines and printed circuit board machines.
