T7 from AEC UK provides multi-level protection for critical control applications

The T7 comes as standard with digital IGBT rectifier ensuring low input THD with 0.99 power factor. This ensures higher efficiency, generator compatibility and a cleaner supply without the need for expensive filtering or rectifier upgrade.

The T7 can be configured to operate in parallel, offering an N+1 configuration or alternatively as a power expansion option. Expanding the T7 system either for parallel or power expansion is very simple and can be performed in the field. The parallel control system tightly manages both active and reactive loads, allowing for intelligent load/current sharing between each individual phase.

Typically when running in parallel, conventional UPS systems work on a Master/Slave principle, which means that should the master UPS fail the whole system fails. However, with the T7 each system is connected to the other via a robust CAN BUS connection and is supplied with its own parallel monitoring system thereby removing a single point of failure.

The T7 Series incorporates Tri Core technology, which includes both DSP and microprocessor applications. This fail-safe engineering ensures that any malfunction of a power supply or even a microprocessor should not threaten the load. All crucial components, modules and systems are constantly monitored allowing for predictive maintenance. Should any anomalies occur this information could be gathered via a PC or through the Internet.

The use of DSP, IGBT and Tri Core technology ensures that the T7 offers AC/AC efficiency of 93%, which is typically around 8% better than conventional UPS and provides savings of 2.8KW per on hour on a 40kVA installation. Because the T7 runs so efficiency, generating less heat, the air conditioning system can be down-rated.

Because of intelligent cooling, the T7 Series can be positioned against back or sidewalls. Air is drawn through the front and expelled through the top - an important feature where space is at a premium. A further benefit of the T7’s cooling system is the extended life expectancy of the internal power components.

Designed for easy maintenance, all components can be easily accessed from the front. This simple but practical feature greatly reduces servicing inconvenience as the UPS can remain in position. Suitable with almost any type of load accepting power factor of either .9 leading or .9 lagging, this makes T7 ideal for applications with Blade Services or other devices where a leading power factor can offer a serious challenge. Additional features include AEC UK’s market leading advanced battery management system, low audible noise and low MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) as well as on board LCD screen for fast and efficient diagnostics.

Suitable for all industrial applications including railway, petrochemical mining and process control, the T7 is manufactured in the EEC making witness testing easy and convenient.
