Robust radio withstands harsh environments

Electrical engineers will be courted by Conrad Business Supplies as it stocks an assortment of new products from Makita. The products are particularly well suited for use in harsh working environments such as building sites and boast longevity and robustness. Specific items to be stocked include the 2-speed DHP453RYLJ cordless combi drill, with 18-step torque adjustment and quick-release chuck.

This powerful device comes bundled with a spare battery and a cordless lamp.

One of Makita’s best known products is the DMR107 Jobsite Radio, which works from either mains power or from power tool batteries. This device is popular on construction sites and offers two 3.5mm inputs for users to connect their smartphones, tablets and MP3 players.

The radio is built to withstand even the most challenging environments and is rated IPX4 (IP44) for foreign object ingress and water damage.

Jürgen Kreiner, Senior Product Manager, Category Business Supplies, commented: “We are confident that our new and existing customers will be well aware of the Makita brand and of the high quality devices and tools that they create. We are very happy to introduce them to our range and believe that they will sit well alongside our products.”
