ABstructures, Italy, Relies on HyperWorks in Developing Race-Winning Sailboat

Altair Engineering, Inc announced today that its HyperWorks CAE platform has been used by ABstructures, an Italian structural design company, to structurally design and optimize the winning yacht in the Volvo Ocean Race, Ericsson 4. The yacht, skippered by Torben Grael, claimed victory in the Volvo Ocean Race on June 27 in St. Petersburg, Russia, after 8 months and more than 37,000 nautical miles sailed around the world under the harshest conditions.

Altair Engineering Introduces HyperWorks 10.0 at Vehicle Dynamics Expo in Stuttgart

Altair Engineering Inc announced today that the company will exhibit at this year’s Vehicle Dynamics Expo from June 16th – 18th in Stuttgart, Germany. Altair will present insights into the latest version of its product family – HyperWorks 10.0 – which will be released in May 2009. In addition to an enhanced browser handling, the company will also present the co-simulation capabilities of the software suite i.e. with DSHplus, a software solution of the Altair Partner Fluidon GmbH for controls and hydraulics simulation, the HyperWorks Partner Solution Program, and all other features relevant to the automotive industry. HyperWorks’ customers and members of the HyperWorks Enabled Community have access to all Altair and third party solutions included within the program and available via the flexible HyperWorks licensing system. Altair Engineering Hosts 2009 European HyperWorks Technology Conference in Ludwigsburg, Germany

Altair Engineering, Inc. today announced that it will host its 2009 European HyperWorks Technology Conference from November 2nd to 4th, 2009 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. CEDREM Engineering Services Company Expands Use of HyperWorks

Altair Engineering, Inc announced today that the French-based engineering services provider, CEDREM, has expanded their use of HyperWorks to support projects in the aerospace, offshore oil and defense industries. Being a longtime RADIOSS customer, CEDREM has expanded their adoption of HyperWorks CAE suite technologies to include HyperMesh, HyperView, MotionView and HyperGraph. RADIOSS and these products will be used in combination with other CAD and CAE tools within projects for the defense industry, to simulate explosions and ballistic impact. In addition, CEDREM will use HyperWorks to develop finite element models and perform research studies on composite material structures.
