Altair announced today the addition of AcuSolve and AcuConsole from ACUSIM Software to its HyperWorks Enabled Community, bringing the total applications available under the HyperWorks platform to 51, including 23 third-party software applications. HyperWorks customers can now download the latest versions of AcuSolve and AcuConsole, along with all other available applications, at zero incremental cost using their existing HyperWorks software license system at www.hyperworkscommunity.com.
”We are very pleased to be a part of this innovative program, which will enable Altair’s customers to easily access ACUSIM’s high fidelity CFD solutions and capabilities”, says Dr. Farzin Shakib, Founder and CEO of ACUSIM Software. “Moreover, through the integration process, we have come to appreciate Altair’s organization and its great team of professional and passionate people, who truly understand the value of partnership. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”

Altair’s addition of AcuSolve and AcuConsole into the HyperWorks Enabled Community provides customers with more software options and increases the return on their investment in HyperWorks licenses.

“HWEC presents a great opportunity for us to reach out to Altair’s customer base”, says Steve Cosgrove, Vice President of Sales and Technical Support of ACUSIM. “ACUSIM brings a whole new suite of analysis tools to HyperWorks’ users broadening HyperWorks’ capabilities to simulate fluid dynamics and fluid structure interactions”.

AcuSolve is a leading general-purpose finite element-based Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) flow solver with superior robustness, speed, and accuracy. It can be used standalone or integrated seamlessly with CAE design and analysis applications to excel at solving complex multidisciplinary design problems involving coupled fluid flow and structural phenomena. With AcuSolve, users can quickly obtain quality solutions without iterating on solution procedures or worrying about mesh quality or topology.

AcuSolve comes with a powerful yet easy to use GUI-based pre-processor, AcuConsole. It has a built-in mesh generator which operates on most 3D CAD models. It also allows users to import an existing mesh in various formats. Through an intuitive menu structure, AcuConsole helps the user fully set up a problem, generate an input file, and launch AcuSolve.

HyperWorks is a suite of enterprise analytic applications that includes statistical, database, visualization and simulation software to help companies make better business decisions. Its patented HyperWorks Units licensing technology allows users to transparently share software licenses globally across a broad suite of applications. Customers can operate all applications under their existing HyperWorks licenses, increasing flexibility and the value of their investment.

“We are very pleased with the addition of ACUSIM’s suite of CFD solutions to the HyperWorks Enabled Community. Altair and ACUSIM have enjoyed a long-lasting relationship; previously we integrated our PBS Professional workload management application with the ACUSIM suite to help mutual customers efficiently manage their CFD workloads,” said Michael Humphrey, Altair vice president of partner programs. “Today more than 100 client companies have joined the HyperWorks Enabled Community and have on-demand access to a growing list of leading partner applications such as AcuSolve and AcuConsole. The response of our customers has been very positive as they recognize the value proposition. This is the type of program which thrives even in a difficult economic climate.”
