Altair Engineering, Inc. today announced that it will host its 2009 European HyperWorks Technology Conference from November 2nd to 4th, 2009 in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The three day event will show new approaches to maximize the benefits of enterprise simulation tools by consolidating software licenses and by saving time and money through streamlining the use of CAE and optimization methods within the development processes. In consideration of the difficult economical climate and to enable more simulation experts from all over Europe to participate, the conference will be free of charge this year.
The European HTC will bring together leading European engineers and engineering management from various industries, who share a common interest in engineering simulation and innovation. Attendees will gather insight into different topics concerning structural analysis, optimization, data management, and Engineering Intelligence. In addition they will learn about future product directions from Altair Engineering. The EHTC will offer excellent networking opportunities for industry experts, vendors and engineering partners.

“The last two successful EHTC events have shown us that we have to further build on the tradition of Enterprise Simulation Events in Europe,” said Michael Hoffmann, Vice President European Operations, Altair Engineering. “We have seen that due to the demand for CO2 reduction, the topic of lightweight design resonates very well with our customers. There is an growing need to cut CAE expenses, which can be met by harmonizing the software toolset with HyperWorks’ flexible licensing system, especially in conjunction with our partner program. HyperMesh and our EPM services remain highly attractive to increase productivity and the Altair's solvers, which are delivering more robust results, receive growing attention.”

“I’m happy to announce that several keynote speakers from different industries have already confirmed their attendance and we are looking forward to receiving more technical and keynote presentation until our extended deadline of May 18th. We are looking forward to seeing you in Ludwigsburg and to discussing relevant industry and economical topics,” he adds.

The three day event will kick off on November 2nd with several technical workshops and meetings for customers from the educational area and solidThinking, the CAID software offered by Altair’s subsidiary company solidThinking. The event will be completed by a technical showcase in which hardware, software and service partners will have the opportunity to present their solutions.
