The competitively priced system is now available with fast 250Hz update rate and dual-antenna GPS which makes it an ideal tool for vehicle dynamics testing. The system combines a 6-axis inertial measurement unit, extensive mathematical processing and a new, super sensitivity GPS card. It fits firmly to the vehicle in minutes using an RT-Strut and will capture the vehicle’s motion with high precision.
Performance and accuracy are better than GPS-only solutions since the inertial sensors have much lower noise than GPS and no jumps. CAN bus and Analogue outputs mean that it can be quickly connected to data acquisition systems; Ethernet and Serial allow it to be connected to PCs and ABD Steering robots. Applications include slip angle measurement, ESC testing / FMVSS 126, steering robot guidance, tire testing, brake testing etc.
