New RT2002 GPS+INS system launched
OxTS has just launched a new generation of its popular inertial and GPS navigation systems for vehicle testing.
The new RT2002 Inertial and GPS navigation system closes the gap between inertial navigation systems pricing and GPS pricing. When compared to a full installation of mixed sensors, the RT2002 gives clear benefits in pricing, performance and time saving. Aimed primarily at vehicle testing, the RT2002 provides highly accurate position measurements (2cm) in normal dynamic conditions while maintaining good quality measurements in high dynamic conditions. The new, compact RT2002 measurement system will out perform solutions that used mixed sensors, i.e. combinations of GPS, accelerometers and gyros.

The turnkey RT2002 measurement system is quick to install and easy to operate. Tools to align it accurately to the vehicle co-ordinate system are included. Comprehensive outputs giving more than 40 channels of data from one small box mean that it can replace many sensors and yet give more detailed, accurate and informative results and use less engineering time.
