MTS cooperates with Cylinder Manufacturers

For over 30 years MTS has been developing and manufacturing Temposonics® position sensor for in-cylinder installation including over 10 years experience with a series specially developed for mobile hydraulics applications. “We realized that the best way to meet the needs of a rugged, reliable and repeatable embedded sensor was to partner with key cylinder manufactures,” says Peter Feucht, Technical Marketing Manager Mobile Hydraulics of MTS Sensor Technologie. With the creation of the partnership, OEM’s now have access to strong partnership. They enjoy faster development cycles and they are offered a well developed, cost optimized complete solution consisting of the cylinder with integrated measuring system.

As part of the program, MTS brings applications consulting in terms of sensors and motion control, while the integration partners bring expertise in cylinder design, sensor integration and logistics. The selected integration partners have extensive experience integrating and delivering production level quantities of “smart cylinders”, and combined have shipped more than 100,000 units in the last 3 years worldwide. All integration partners have been trained by MTS in the proper handling and testing of Temposonics® sensors necessary to ensure a high quality product to the OEM.
