Gems Announces New Low Flow-Rate Sensor In FDA-Approved Materials
Gems Sensors & Controls has launched the new TurboFlow FT-330 series of low-cost, highly accurate turbine flow rate sensors for drinking water dispensing applications. The FT-330 is an OEM flow sensor featuring proven Hall-effect turbine technology in a small package for years of dependable, worry-free service. All wetted parts are made from FDA-approved materials including Noryl, polyamide or nylon composite, Delrin (Polyoxymethylene (POM)) and 316 stainless steel.
The FT-330 is available in two flow ranges, covering 0.05 to 1.5 L/min. The low cost coupled with 0.5% repeatability and 2% accuracy makes the FT-330 an excellent choice for monitoring dispensing timer systems. The small, lightweight plastic construction allows for ease of mounting. Each sensor is 100% tested, ensuring years of service life and contributing to a low cost of ownership.

Unlike timing systems, turbine technology is not influenced by changes in system pressure caused by aging filters. In addition, the sensor's standard power and output specifications make it easy to retrofit to existing controllers.

The FT-330 joins the existing FT-210 and FT-110 ranges of turbine flow sensors. These are ideally suited for measurement of either volume dispensing and/or flow rate applications. The FT-210 series measures liquid flow rates of 0.1 to 2.5 L/min, while the FT-110 series covers the range of 0.5 to 30 L/min.
