Extended STEVI commitment from STAG
Global supply chain specialists – STAG Group – has announced continued long-term availability of STEVI instrumentation by purchase of manufacturing rights for these products from Atlantic Inertial Systems (formerly BAE Systems Inertial Products, Plymouth). STEVI – Sperry Turbine Engine Vibration Indicator – instruments continue to be used for propeller condition management on Transall military transports and Dassault ATL 1&2 maritime reconnaissance aircraft in the European theatre. As with many other established products the anticipated service life is put in the region of at least a further 10 years.
STEVI instruments will receive a new lease of life, explained Thibaut de Bouillane, STAG Director – “We are seeking to protect the supply base for these Sunset products and to improve product availability for provision of managed stock ‘on demand’ services

STAG sole STEVI distributor since 1995 – see this as potentially the first of a number of situations where their position in the market will enable them to concentrate better on long-term run out items facilitating a streamlining of the supply chain for similar systems.

Thibaut de Bouillane explained further “We aim to support these older platforms flying for longer so that OEMs can be confident of the commitment needed for extended support which is increasingly demanded by range managers.” For further information please e-mail: info@spectech.co.uk or see www.stag-aerospace.com
