Innovative technologies like RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) enable STAG Group to maintain fast, efficient and real time valued components in hundreds of thousands of line items for jets, turbo-props, helicopters and piston engined aircraft, both new and those on extended service life.
Industry leaders STAG Group have introduced the latest in RFID technology enhancing the range of products covered from connectors and associated components manufactured to ASNE, DIN, EN, JN, MS, NSA and PAN, American and European standards, as well as terminal blocks, filters, cable ties, o’rings, seals, housings, bushings, tags, tag rings, lanyards, terminals, gaskets, earthing strips and locking sleeves.
Stock management includes kit marshalling, Kanban, bar coding and specialist packaging, with a fully automated flow line packaging system which enables a responsive processing of customer requirements from ad-hoc enquiries through to major supply programmes and kitting programmes.
Directeur des Operations Chris Osborne revealed “our application of low cost RFID to an already super-slim management system allows clients to benefit from our global sourcing/logistics capability and low cost operations. Normally we would provide an on site operator to ensure the prompt supply of parts to the production line. The RFID tags effectively replace on site staffing requirements to check for empty bins and we are able to operate a true KANBAN system tracked in real time. We have further developed the reach of this pull system by generating automated picking from a forward stock location and our main warehouse.
The STAG Group manages worldwide supply from a wide range of associated component manufacturers which include relays from Deutsch, Eaton/Cutler Hammer, Hartman, Leach, LRE and Teledyne. These are complemented by contacts from AMP, Deutsch, ITT Cannon and Tri-star, along with heatshrink from Hellerman Tyton and switches from Arrow Hart, Eaton/Cutler Hammer and Texas Instruments. STAG also provide tools from people such as Apex, Daniels and Glenair.
As a global supply chain supplier STAG Group is a primary stockist of some 23 American and European connector and backshell manufacturers including: AB connectors, Aero Electric, AMP, Amphenol/Bendix, also Amphenol/Matrix, Amphenol/Pyle National, Cinch, Deutsch, Souriau, Hi Rel, ITT Cannon, J-Tech, Kings, as well as Pyle National, Radiall, RMS, Sabritech, TEC, Electro Adapter, Glenair, Miles Roystone, Sunbank and Polamco.
