KAYDON® Corporation Bearings Division has confirmed that the quality systems at two more of its principal manufacturing facilities in the US have now been certified to AS9100B, the international standard for the aerospace industry. This is in addition to the head office plant that has had this certification for many years.

This is also good news for its sole UK distributor, R. A. Rodriguez, as this enhances the credentials of the KAYDON® bearing products it sells in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.

AS9100B is based on ISO 9001:2000 but has more than 75 additional requirements that are specific to aircraft and aerospace production. It is a pre-requisite for all manufacturers serving this sector.

KAYDON® Corporation Bearings Division is a leading global manufacturer of standard and custom, thin-section bearings and bearing assemblies for a wide range of manufacturing and process industries. This company, which invented the thin-section bearing in 1943, is also a major supplier of slewing ring bearings, all of which are available in the UK from R. A. Rodriguez.
