Southco has a binge with new hinges range

The product, which has been manufactured as a direct response to customer demand, is ideally suited to industries including automotive, medical, casings, and lighting fixtures.

At 5mm in diameter, the mini embedded hinge provides a sturdier and exact fitting alternative to bearings, clips, and clamps, which are frequently used to provide a low constant torque for a range of applications. Whereas these solutions often require frequent readjustment in order to stay in place, Southco’s new solution is more durable, exact fitting, and maintenance-free.

 The result is a reliable and dependable miniature hinge, which can be installed with ease to provide constant resistance to the movement of a panel or door.

The product has been designed utilising Southco’s extensive experience in friction technology. It joins Southco’s extensive catalogue of hinges, which come in a variety of sizes, ensuring the business is able to provide a single solution for every application, without the need for secondary support components.

The launch of the miniature ST-5A Embedded Positioning Hinge follows the introduction of Southco’s CA Counterbalance Hinge, a product designed for use in applications which involve repeated heavy lifting.
