New e-tube for machine tools

New e-tube for machine tools
igus has developed a new tough, cost-effective energy tube called the R2.75 E2. The fully enclosed design of the e-tube, with an inner height of 75mm, ensures that no external debris can get inside to damage the cables and hoses. This makes it perfect for the machine tool, woodworking and textile industries, as well as general mechanical engineering applications. The e-tube lids, have an innovative hinge system, enabling them to be opened from either side.  This allows for faster filling of cables and hoses as well as easier access in service. Additionally, the double stop dog system makes for a strong tube which can carry high fill weights.

Low Cost, High Precision XYθ Alignment Stages from OES!

Low Cost, High Precision XYθ Alignment Stages from OES!
Optimal Engineering Systems’ low profile, XYθ (theta) stages are designed for high precision alignment applications. These stages move in an XY-plane and rotate around the center of the XY-plane. The terms alignment table, or XY-rotation stage are often used interchangeably with XYθ, or XY-theta stage.  Available in 12 models, in two precision grades, these stages have linear travels from +/- 2 mm by +/- 2 mm (+/- 0.078 in by  +/- 0.078 in) up to +/- 30 mm by +/- 30 mm (+/-1.181 in by +/- 1.181 in).  Additionally, XYθ (theta) stages can rotate around the center of the XY plane up to +/- 6O.  Four models of the XYθ (theta) stages have solid tables that are sized from 100 mm by 100 mm (3.937 in by  3.937 in) to 200 mm by 200 mm (7.874 in by 7.874 in), and eight stages, from 250 mm x 250 mm (9.843 in by 9.843 in) to 1500 mm by 1500 mm (59.055 in by  59.055 in), are hollow core (open frame) stages.

Starrett Versatix MP bi-metal band saw blades cut quicker for longer

Starrett Versatix MP bi-metal band saw blades cut quicker for longer
Versatix MP bi-metal band saw blades from The L.S. Starrett Company set new standards in the cutting of structural steel profiles – such as RSJ, I-beams, C-sections, tubes, channels and small solids used in many industry sectors. It features a revolutionary tooth design resulting in a significant increase in tooth strength and, consequently, a reduction in tooth stripping. This, combined with Starrett Bi-Metal Unique Technology, ensures that the blades can easily cope with the shock loading conditions associated with intermittent cutting, making the blade ideal for manual ‘pull down’ band saw machines with uncontrolled feed rates.
