Parker Hannifin has launched the new Compax3F electro-hydraulic controller. Designed to help engineers increase productivity and machine performance, the new control features optimised force/pressure control, controller pre-setting for closed loop position control, an updated valve library with the latest Parker valves, and a multi-axis tool supported by a comprehensive data base of multi-axis applications.

Parker Hannifin, has launched what is believed to be the world’s first clean-line pneumatic cylinder to feature an innovative multi-position programmable stroke sensing system. Designated the P1D Clean, the new cylinder incorporates a patented internal foil positioning sensor, which eliminates problems of external dirt traps and makes the P1D ideal for use in applications throughout the food sector. Just as importantly, the potential for remote programming combined with multi-position sensing of the cylinder rod position gives food processing and packaging machine builders and end users the ability to improve the performance and productivity of machines.

The Racor Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation has launched the latest versions of its advanced FW Series water absorbing filters for removing free water from hydrocarbon fuels. Benefits include long element life, high efficiency particulate and water removal from fuel, low initial pressure drop, industry standard element dimensions, and biodiesel compatibility, all of which help end users improve the productivity and profitability of applications in the industrial and process sectors.

Parker Hannifin has launched a new family of revolutionary AC drives that allow energy efficient permanent magnet motors to be used in a wide range of pump, fan and compressor applications. Designated the AC650S Series, the new drives eliminate the need to run permanent magnet motors with closed loop speed sensors, enabling them to be used as replacements for induction motors, helping manufacturers improve both performance and profitability.

The latest particle counting technology from Parker Hannifin is being used by Petrolab, one of Indonesia’s leading laboratory services providers, to test engine oil, hydraulic oil, and kerosene samples quickly and accurately on site. The Parker iCountBS (Bottle Sampler) is enabling Petrolab to improve its quality of service and cut costs, by eliminating the need to send samples away to be analysed.

Parker Domnick Hunter has developed a new hydrogen generator for operation with the Varian 820-MS model of Inductively Coupled Plasma - Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS). Varian, Inc., are a manufacturer of scientific instruments and vacuum technologies of which ICP-MS plays a lead role in the detection and measurement of ultra-trace elements. The 40H-ICP hydrogen gas generator has been specifically designed for use with the patented Collision-Reaction Interface (CRI) of the Varian 820-MS, to provide simple and routine removal of troublesome spectroscopic interferences.

WindCube is a rooftop wind turbine for on-site power generation by commercial and industrial users in urban and suburban locations. Due in part to the turbine’s unique control system, it is considerably more productive than conventional models, able to produce the same amount of energy in a 22’ x 22’ x 12’ framework as a traditional turbine with blades measuring 50’ in diameter.

Parker Hannifin has launched an open Ethernet-based networking communications module for its AC890 range of drives. For the first time, PROFINET makes the power, performance and functionality of the 890 family available to users operating Ethernet based process applications. In addition to supporting the seamless integration of all fieldbus systems, the module protects against unauthorised access, and ensures safe operation.

Parker Hannifin has developed an innovative particle detector, designed to increase the efficiency and cut the cost of maintenance, repair and overhall applications. The Icount PD on-line analyser offers simple integration with existing plant via M16 test points, making fast and accurate cleanliness monitoring of lubricants and similar fluids more affordable and accessible than ever.

Parker Hannifin has developed an innovative hydraulic saw motor that automatically maintains an optimum cutting speed of 40 m/s, for 35% faster cutting. This translates to up to 4,000 m3 more timber, and as much as 20,000 more euro, per year. In addition to boosting productivity with quicker and more even sawing, the new F11-iP motor eliminates over-revving, minimising the cost of maintenance and downtime.

A new production process based on stainless steel extrusions is raising the quality and consistency of industry-standard compression tube fittings - without ratcheting up the costs. The move comes from the leading tube fittings manufacturer, the instrumentation products division of Parker Hannifin. The innovative technology is aimed at users in processing markets such as oil, gas and chemicals, where the need for integrity and reliability is paramount.
