Parker Hannifin has launched new ATEX certified 37 mm electrical coils for use on its Lucifer range of stainless steel solenoid valves as well as the brass and aluminum X valves. These coils broaden even further the usability of these valves especially in the oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical markets, in which environmental working conditions can be very severe.

Parker Hannifin announces an extensive range of competitively priced Parker quality replacement filter elements. The new elements are fully interchangeable with a wide range of Hydac filters, but with immediate availability, low price and equivalent or better quality. The Racor Division of Parker Hannifin has introduced an ultra-low power marine fuel polishing system for use in pleasure and smaller commercial vessels. The new system has been developed to remove the moisture and fine particles that accumulate in fuel tanks and lines, especially when vessels have been lying idle for extended periods, preventing filtration systems from becoming clogged and protecting the operation of diesel engines.

Following a recent audit by approvals agency TÜV Mannheim Süd, the Instrumentation Products Division of Parker Hannifin has won TA-Luft approval for a broad range of its manifolds, valves and flanged products. This approval, which largely mirrors the new ISO 15848 standard, helps designers comply with the most stringent fugitive emission limitations, to maximise the integrity of processing systems.

Portable fuel filtration trolley units, developed and manufactured by the Racor Division of Parker Hannifin, are being used by a number of leading Italian bus operators to extend the life of diesel engine filtration systems and reduce overall operating costs.

Parker-Origa has developed a solution to protect its complete range of linear drives from the sugary or sticky fluids present in food manufacturing and other process lines that can cause parts of the drive to jam. The new Clean Design system protects linear drives – including associated guides, sensors and travel measurement systems – in a modular, stainless steel housing, sealed to IP64. The resulting drive is ideal for use where intensive washdowns are frequent, and in damp, dusty and otherwise challenging environments.

Thousands of fluid instrumentation users will now be able to cut costs following the introduction of a new supply service from Parker Hannifin. Complete packages of tube fittings and tubing can now be purchased via a single order, thanks to an alliance with Sandvik Materials Technology.

AC890 variable speed drives from Parker Hannifin, are playing a crucial role in an innovative control system developed for a newly refurbished web laminating line operated by the API Group. The control system was designed and produced by Blackburn-based Optima Control Solutions, and in conjunction with the AC890 drives, has enabled availability of the laminating line to be significantly increased. In addition, the new system has improved production flexibility for API, while increasing line functionality and reducing overall energy consumption.

Innovative technology developed and manufactured by Parker Hannifin looks set to help the operators of commercial vehicles cut both fuel consumption and vehicle emissions. In addition, the new technology can reduce the need to run engines at high speeds to power on-board hydraulic systems, helping to minimise operating noise.

Parker Hannifin announces the Icount PD online particle detector, an ideal solution for monitoring the condition of hydraulic oils in mobile and off-highway applications. Compact and lightweight, the icountPD features laser based monitoring of system contamination trends, early warning LED or digital display indicators for low, medium and high contamination levels, and an optional moisture percentage RH LED indicator, helping to prolong fluid life and reduce machine downtime.

Parker Hannifin will be showing three new hydraulic filtration products at Hannover Messe 2009. Complementing Parker’s value added philosophy in the development of new products, these three products have been developed considering in particular environmental matters, simplifying the filtration process and integrating filtration solutions into hydraulic system assemblies.

The latest Racor hydrocarbon filters from Parker Hannifin, the global leader in motion and control technologies, are being used to filter more than 45 million litres of diesel each month in one of the biggest opencast coal mines in Latin America. Parker Hannifin has acquired Aqua Pro, the manufacturer of reverse osmosis (RO) filtration systems for marine applications. The acquisition will enhance Parker’s already diverse range of products and services for the marine sector, while allowing customers of Aqua Pro to benefit from Parker’s engineering expertise and global support network.

Parker-Origa has introduced a new range of stop cylinders that provide damped braking and reliable holding of heavy conveyed loads. Variants are available for both horizontal and vertical installation, and the design facilitates easy change of the integrated shock absorber element, enabling the damping characteristics to be easily tailored to changing workpiece loads and speeds, and allowing a single product to meet the needs of a diverse range of applications.

The domnick hunter Industrial Division of Parker Hannifin has improved its existing range of MIDIGAS nitrogen gas generators. The launch of the enhanced MIDIGAS systems which complement the proven MAXIGAS range, means that the company has the capability to offer nitrogen generators for low to high volume requirements, and can now help customers save costs further, improve their productivity and their profitability.

Parker Hannifin has announced its latest family of Compax3 intelligent servo drives. The Compax3 family of products has been designed to offer OEMs and end users a full range of drive solutions, while being simple to program and operate. In addition, Compax3 servo drives are based on a common operating platform, delivering high levels of performance and functionality, and have been developed for use in global applications, with support from Parker’s worldwide network of sales and technology centres.

Parker Hannifin has announced an agreement with Nabtesco Corporation of Japan to market and sell Nabtesco's range of advanced air dryers for use in commercial vehicles. These dryers are used in compressed air systems to improve the performance and safety of air braking units, and to reduce operators’ maintenance costs.
