At only 43 x 47 mm in size, HBM has launched one of the smallest optical strain gages in rosette form in the world. The K-OR rosette comprises three measuring grids – at angles of 0°, 60° and 120° – which enables the absolute value and direction of any mechanical stresses to be defined.

Compact piezoelectric force washer expands PACEline range
HBM has expanded its CFW series of piezoelectric force washers with a 20 kN version to meet the demand for measuring lower nominal (rated) forces. The latest force washer has a diameter of just 14.5 mm and a height of 7 mm making it very compact in relationship to its nominal force. This allows it to be easily integrated in applications, even where very little space is available.

Load cells ensure high accuracy in latest Weigh Blending Systems
TSM Control Systems of Dundalk in Ireland is using HBM’s single point load cells to ensure high accuracy in its range of Weigh Blending Systems. The Weigh Blending Systems measure a recipe of different plastic granules by weight and then blend the resulting mix so that it can be used in different types of plastic processing. Examples include packaging material such as food wrap or the internal wrapping bags in cereal boxes used in the food industry.

Latest digital charge amplifier for piezo sensors features integrated Ethernet interface
The latest CMD600 digital charge amplifier from HBM acquires signals from a connected sensor and makes them available to a downstream machine control either as an analog voltage signal or in digital form. In digital form the signal is transmitted using Ethernet as measured value streaming. Analog voltage signals (0 to ±10 V) have a measuring bandwidth of 30 kHz.

The SP4M single point load cells are now available as the successors to the successful SP4 series for maximum capacities from 1 kg up to 200 kg. The major innovation: The load cells now also offer C6 quality and therefore maximum measurement accuracy. However, a lot has been done with regard to the C3 quality models too: A broad choice of options ensures maximum flexibility.
