  ESAB Welding & Cutting Products announced that its Renegade ET 300iP DC TIG/MMA inverter has received the Red Dot Award for product design in the Industrial Equipment, Machinery and Automation category.

A high performance automatic welding helmet, the Sentinel A50has been added to ESAB’s range of welding helmets. The helmet’s radical new design incorporates ergonomic headgear and maximum adjustability to increase productivity, functionality and usability. The Sentinel A50’s high-tech features include an adjustable 5-point headgear, a 100x60mm viewing area, an externally activated Grind Button, a colour touch screen control panel and a front-loading convex cover lens that comes in different colour options and changes in 10s.

Appearing on stand A116 in Hall 4, at Industrie Lyon, is ESAB, which is taking place from 4th-7th April 2017 at EUROEXPO LYON, France. ESAB will be exhibiting several products of interest to visitors seeking the latest in welding and cutting. The main product of focus will be the Rebel EMP215iC which is a MIG/TIG/Stick welder, a 120-230V, CC/CV welding system, providing a true multi-process arc performance, location flexibility, lightweight portability and an operator interface with LCD/TFT display.  

The schedule of ESAB's Gas Inspectors Training Courses has been published for 2017. These will be held at ESAB’s facilities in Waltham Cross and Chorley, and there are courses for both certification and re-certification. 

The unveiling of the Renegade ES 300i MMA (SMAW)/LiveTIG (GTAW) welder has been announced by ESAB Welding & Cutting Products. The inverter-based MMA/TIG machine offers power in a compact format: it weighs 15kg, measures 460x200x320mm and produces a top output of 300A at 40% duty cycle.

Offering primary power and location flexibility, the Rebel EMP 215ic MIG/TIG/Stick welder contains some of the most advanced welding technology available. Rebel EMP 215ic, a 120-230V, CC/CV welding system, provides a true multi-process arc performance, location flexibility, lightweight portability and an operator interface with LCD/TFT display.

A welding system that offers a sMIG (‘smart MIG’) function has been introduced, which enables users to begin MIG welding, with an extremely stable arc, just by setting metal thickness and wire diameter.

By combining new and enhanced components, ESAB Welding & Cutting Products introduced a pulsed GMAW (MIG/MAG) system optimised for greater productivity and better quality when welding aluminium, stainless and carbon steel. The system includes the new, highly intuitive MA25 Pulse Panel, the enhanced Aristoâ Feed 3004 wire feeder and the upgraded Aristo MIG 4004i Pulse power source. ESAB offers the MA25 Pulse panel in two options: an aluminum panel with 30 pre-programmed synergic lines for aluminium wire 0,9 mm – 1,6 mm or a steel/stainless panel with 54 pre-programmed synergic lines for solid and cored wires 0,8 mm – 1,6 mm.

ESAB introduced the Rebel EMP 215ic, a 120V-230V, CC/CV welding system that offers true multi-process arc performance, location flexibility, lightweight portability and a groundbreaking operator interface. A unique sMIG (“smart MIG”) function enables users to begin MIG welding – with an extremely stable arc – just by setting metal thickness and wire diameter. Unlike competitive units, there is no need to enter information for shielding gas mix.

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products introduces PrimeWeld, a series of copper-free, seamless flux-cored welding wires specifically designed to meet the needs of the offshore construction industry. Produced using a unique seamless manufacturing process, PrimeWeld offers a very low diffusible hydrogen level which minimises the risk of hydrogen-induced cold cracking (HICC) when welding thicker components, especially critical in offshore applications. The seamless wire design also prevents moisture absorption, improving product shelf life and minimising any special storage and handling requirements.

ESAB is introducing Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse power source to its top-of-the-range Aristo family of welding equipment. Aristo Mig 4004i Pulse power source connected to the wire feeders Aristo Feed 3004 or Aristo YardFeed 2000 inclusive accessories forms a complete MIG/MAG package. The Aristo Feed 3004 is offered with a choice of the U6 or more sophisticated U82 control panels and the Aristo YardFeed 2000 is available with the U6 control panel. Together, these products can boost productivity, enhance weld quality and save money through reduced energy consumption.

To meet growing demand for its metal fabrication services, Reekie Steeltec of Arbroath in Angus has invested in eight new ESAB Origo Mig 4004i multi process inverter based welding, packages designed for high productivity applications. The company has also purchased Origo Feed 3004 MA24 wire feed units and interconnecting cables.

COLUMBUS III is ESAB Cutting Systems' latest software which is designed to make it easy to program cutting, labelling and marking processes. Intelligent wizards provide intuitive operation so users can perform simple and highly complex cuts, labelling and nesting jobs quickly and easily.

ESAB Cutting Systems has extended its refurbishment, retrofit and second hand cutting machine services in Europe. A new facility based at the company’s Headquarters in Karben, Germany is designed to offer customers in mainland Europe, cost effective alternatives to investment in new cutting machines.

With its new Precision Hole Technology concept, ESAB Cutting Systems has extended the capabilities of its CNC plasma cutting machines through the integration of plasma cutting, software and control systems to improve hole cutting cylindricity and to deliver the highest possible cut edge quality.
