Voltage transducer measures circuit voltages with single sensor

Being able to measure AC or DC circuit voltages up to 1,200V with a single sensor is now possible with the new the VTU Voltage Transducer from NK Technologies.

The sensor produces an analogue signal directly proportional to the RMS voltage, making it a well suited tool for detecting power generation issues, such brown outs and phase loss, from both conventional and alternative sources. With industry standard output options (4-20mA, 0-5 and 0-10VDC), the VTU Voltage Transducer is compatible with most automation and control systems.

NK Technologies’ VTU Series of voltage transducers provide accuracy and safety in a panel or DIN-rail mounted housing. The VTU Voltage Transducer is used to measure voltage in a variety of applications, including pumps and aerators for water delivery and treatment systems, allowing them to be shut down quickly if the supplied voltage falls to a dangerous level.

The unit can also monitor voltage of field windings in the DC motors of cranes and heavy-lifting equipment, among many other applications.
