Sick UK’s new ‘All in One’ Vision Package Delivers Risk-Free Inspection Solutions
A new ‘all-in-one’ package to develop, build and install integrated Inspector vision sensors is being launched by Sick UK under its SystemsPlus service group. Sick Inspector vision solutions already provide cost-savings and improve efficiencies in a wide array of automated inspection and control applications for automotive, food & beverage and logistics companies.
Now with the new Vision@SystemsPlus service, customers can opt for a bespoke solution from Sick UK’s expert team who will develop and specify a Sick Inspector vision sensor and associated accessories and then install and commission it to achieve optimum production efficiency. A one-year training and support package is also included.

“Vision@SystemsPlus is the ideal solution for customers with limited resources or for anyone who prefers the reassurance of a risk-free, quick and effective commissioning process,” said David Hannaby Sick UK’s Product Manager for Imaging and Measurement.

“Sick’s Inspector vision systems deliver value by avoiding expensive mistakes. By providing a customised solution this added-value service ensures production can be up and running in the shortest possible time. The return on the investment is easily proven, with reduced commissioning times and a guarantee of a system which will perform as designed.”

Sick’s skilled SystemsPlus engineering team are highly experienced in installing solutions in the manufacturing, commercial goods and logistics sectors. The Vision@SystemsPlus service includes the design and build of mechanical structure, commissioning the vision sensors, communicating to reject mechanism or to a PLC, testing and training. The systems are controlled and monitored from the Inspector Viewer or a HMI.

SICK Inspector Vision solutions are provided to end users, OEMs or machine builders for product inspection, location, measurement or identification. For applications that require dedicated product handling such as conveyors, reject mechanisms or robot pick and place, the Sick SystemsPlus team can work together with their selected Systems Integrators.

Prior to undertaking any project, SICK provides a full evaluation service free of charge to understand the specification and ensure the system will work reliably.

As part of the package, the SICK SystemsPlus team provides post installation training and ongoing support to ensure the Inspector Vision system will continue to deliver, including two contract visits per year and options for next day call out. With the advanced Inspector Viewer HMI and the ability to integrate with factory-wide DCS, monitoring and controlling production data to provide feedback and improvements is easy.
