Measurement Specialties, Inc. (NASDAQ: MEAS), an expert in sensor design and manufacturing, has achieved AS9100B Management System certification in its Shenzhen, China plant for the manufacture of position sensors designed in our Hampton, Virginia engineering center.
MEAS Shenzhen has started the production of Linear Variable Differential Transducers for commercial aircraft applications and is capable of producing LVDTs for (but not limited to) the following Commercial Aircraft applications:
• Flight control actuators
• Hydraulic valves
• Hydraulic reservoirs
• Engine controls
• Cockpit controls
• Landing gears
• Steering systems

AS9100B is an internationally recognized, comprehensive Quality Management System dedicated to the aerospace industry. It was developed by major aerospace companies and is published by the Society of Automotive Engineers. AS9100B requires very strict procedures for the documentation, the measurement, and the improvement of all processes in a manufacturer's operations to ensure that safe and reliable products are produced.

MEAS has been designing and manufacturing position sensors including LVDTs and RVDTs in Shenzhen for various industrial applications for over 10 years.
