The
MS5607-02BA03 features a 20cm [7.87 inches] altitude resolution while the MS5611-01BA03 can resolve down to 10cm [3.94 inches]. Both products are part of the new award-winning 24-bit digital pressure sensor family which was selected as one of the “Ten Top Sensor Products of 2010” by the Editorial Board of Sensors & Transducers Magazine. They acknowledged that this sensor was in the ”most innovative product among all published in the Magazine during 2010” category.
Both devices cover a pressure range from 10 to 1300 mbar and boast a fast conversion rate of 0.6ms at 8-bit resolution to 8.3ms at 24-bit resolution. Current consumption of 0.9uA at one conversion per second (8-bit) to 12.5uA (24-bit) and resolution selection per conversion enables optimum application-specific power–performance. The tiny 5x3x1mm footprint make them ideally suitable for embedded use in smart phones, personal navigation devices (PND), location trackers, in-building navigation and social alarm applications. This economically-priced sensor is the world’s lowest-power pressure sensing module.
