Cloud of Point Processing with SAL3D

The Peak Detector Tool enhances the extraction of profile coordinates from laser stripe images. Capable of distinguishing Z-steps of 5microns, with a camera-laser set up of 90º degrees and Field of View of 130mm. The Metric Calibration Tool provides an easy calibration procedure using a specially designed object, obtaining true XYZ metric coordinates, allowing metric measurements and avoiding perspective distortion. The Merger Tool minimizes occlusions by using multi-camera configurations, merging their images into a single, smooth one. The Match3D Tool provides 3D inspection and measurement of free form objects. Defects can be detected by comparing scanned parts with their model. The ultra-fast registration method allows “mathematical” alignment, avoiding expensive mechanical fixtures and allowing 100% control at production line speed.
