Accidents won’t happen with WASP’s new ‘pull to turn’ rotary switches
The potential for serious accident or data loss has been ruled out with the introduction of a new ‘Pull to Turn’ facility which can be added to any of the rotary switches made by WASP.
’Pull to Turn’ adds an extra position to the switch which is not operational until the spindle has been pulled. This facility can be supplied in as many positions as required and can be fitted at either end of the mechanism travel. The amount of force required to action the switch can be designed to suit both the application or even adjusted to the touch of a regular operator.

’Pull to Turn’ would be ideal for use in motion equipment where it may need to be impossible to move into a position accidentally, needing a deliberate action instead. Examples are industrial guillotines, lifting equipment, safety doors or in machinery which has a test position or where sensitive information can be destroyed.

Similarly, this type of switch would suit aerospace or military applications to prevent the consequences of accidental switching caused by extreme movement.
