Machine safety components designed for machine guarding

Machine operating manufacturer, Elesa, have a specialist package of safety related components which are designed for machine guarding and operation in the manufacturing arena. The CFSW is an integrated hinge with switch for guard frames and access panels enabling equipment to be shut down if the panel is even slightly opened.

This is complimented by the ESP guard safety door pull handle with its non-trap design and high-vis colour, this is an example of the Elesa range of grab handles in their standard hardware catalogue.

The PC panel support clamp compliments these for the easy fitment of guarding partitions without holes – it accommodates thicknesses of from 3.1-8mm and is especially designed for use with aluminium or steel frames of 25mm or larger section.

SFP-Ex breather/filler caps comply with the Health & Safety Requirements intended in 94/9/EC ATEX European Directive (explosive atmospheres) for equipment in Group 11 category 2GD. They are particularly suitable for use where the oil is violently agitated.

VD safety solid handwheels for machines are high strength with a ‘clutch’ safety coupling requiring the wheel to be pulled out to operate the drive and engage the handwheel.

IRS safety fold-away handles provide an important safety feature for handwheels. Together these items provide a significant contribution to the health and safety of any machine configuration.
