Krayden Introduces Dow Corning’s 3140 RTV Aerospace Coating

This silicone-based coating is a one-part, translucent moisture RTV with moderate flow. The elastoplastic conformal coating has a dry, firm surface for better abrasion resistance and cures to a clear film.

The silicone resin base adheres to aluminum, ceramic, FR4, metal and plastic, and is used as a coating for rigid and flexible PWBs as well as a variety of ceramic and hybrid circuits, components, connectors and connections. Having high and low temperature stability with resistance to oxidation and the ozone, Dow Corning’s RTV is often used in the aerospace industry and is UL / Mil Spec approved; UL 94 V-1, UL 746 C, MIL-A-46146.
