Krayden Adds Molykote 111 Lubricant and Sealant for Valves to Its Repertoire
Krayden, Inc., a leading distributor of engineered materials, announces that it now provides the Molykote 111 valve lubricant and sealant from Dow Corning. The compound is a silicone oil that offers water resistance, low vapor pressure, low volatility and a wide service temperature range of -40°C/-40°F to 200°C/392°F.

The Dow Corning Molykote 111 lubricant and sealant is a heavy consistency dimethyl silicone compound that offers resistance to most chemicals, both organic and inorganic. This versatile lubricant is used as a damping medium for dash pots in electrical and electronic equipment, and is a sealant for vacuum pressure systems in aircrafts. Additionally, it prevents gaskets from sticking to metal, resists weathering and water washout, and is an anti-stick sealant for transformer gasket and equipment enclosures. It also is used as a chemical barrier coating for rubber and plastic O-rings, gaskets and seals, for lubrication in control and pressure plug valves, and for water softener and faucet valves. The Molykote 111 compound features NSF 51, NSF 61 approval and is acceptable as a release agent under FDA 21 CFR 175.300, when used in accordance with that regulation. Dow Corning 111 valve lubricant and sealant maintains a serviceable consistency from approximately -70° to 400°F (-57° to 204°C).

Available in various container sizes, Molykote 111 can be applied by hand, specially designed automated equipment, and by brushing or wiping.
