High performance elastomer seal specialist, Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE), has launched a new multi-purpose perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) compound that offers outstanding resistance to a broad range of chemicals and an extremely low compression set. Perlast(r) G75M improves sealing in many extreme conditions, including high speed rotation, high temperature and high pressure applications. With a compression set of just 14%, companies looking to increase the efficiency and lifespan of their seals are already trialling G75M.
Particularly effective in mechanical seals and multi-substance chemical plants, G75M can also be used in pumps, valves, couplings and fittings and many other demanding sealing situations. The long term sealing efficiency of G75M provides manufacturers and processors a number of benefits; including extended maintenance intervals, reduced down-time, lower cost of ownership and improved production efficiencies. With modulus and hardness optimised to suit the majority of sealing applications, G75M can be moulded into O-rings (any size up to 2m/6.5ft diameter) and custom shapes.

Mick Holland, Global Products Manager at PPE comments: The successful development of G75M - a multipurpose compound that excels in both chemical resistance and mechanical performance - is groundbreaking news for anyone with high performance sealing requirements. We are really excited to be the first critical seal provider to offer a material that requires no compromise. Our technical expertise, material knowledge and design technologies allowed us to develop this pioneering product and we can't wait to see how G75M transforms our customers' applications.

The Perlast range of perfluoroelastomers and other high performance elastomers are at the leading edge of polymer technology. They have been developed to offer superior sealing solutions with enhanced performance and improved functionality, which is proven in the field.
