Datacolor continues to recognize the importance of the global color management marketplace with its participation in Chinacoat 2010 , the China International Exhibition for Coatings, Printing Inks and Adhesives. Taking place September 27th through the 29th, the show is a conference of coatings industry specialists and paint manufacturers.
With a constantly growing economy, Datacolor is excited for the opportunities China presents to provide the technology needed to grow and refine the raw materials and manufacturing industries. In recent years, Datacolor has directed significant investments to the region, including the establishment of a world-class technology and manufacturing center in Suzhou, China. Datacolor will showcase key products at the Chinacoat 2010 show that provide class-leading reliability and accuracy for clients working within the paint and coatings industries.

Two of the products set to benefit clients in China and throughout the industry include Datacolor Match Pigment™ 2.1 and Datacolor SelectKIT™. Datacolor Match Pigment 2.1 is a software solution designed to enhance color matching accuracy by using next generation matching algorithms to identify the best paint match possible. Equipped with the industry’s only Product Line facility, users of Datacolor Match Pigment 2.1 can create and edit complex product lines, right down to the can sizes. Also on display at the show will be the Datacolor SelectKIT, the innovative solution for retailers and home décor outlets to turn paint samples into perfect matches from a diverse database of thousands of colors, with the final color sent directly to the dispenser.

“Our investment in both personnel and technology in Suzhou and throughout China is indicative of our continued focus on the region and the opportunities it presents,” said Brian Levey, Vice President, Industrial Business Unit, Datacolor. “The expansion of our management team and the introduction of new technical support tools demonstrate Datacolor’s commitment to educating companies on the importance of managing color throughout the supply chain.”
