FRW CAROBRONZE has expanded its line of highly specialized copper alloys with forged or extruded CuNi14Al2 (UN14A2) and forged or extruded high-strength bronzes CuZn19Al6 (UZ19A6) and CuZn23Al4 (UZ23A4). These alloys are in stock in the form of round bars. The high-strength brass can be forged upon request into square or flattened bars. These copper alloys are sold in accordance with aeronautical (NFL14702, NFL14707, NFL14708) and military standards (GAM MM11,GAM MM13). CuNi14Al2 can also be offered according to DIN 2.1504. CuZn19Al6 and CuZn23Al4 can also be produced by continuous casting according to GAM MM12, NFA53703, EN1982 or ASTM B505.CuNi14Al2 has powerful mechanical properties, including high resistance to crushing, repeated impact and vibrations. Its high nickel content makes it highly resistant to seawater corrosion and oxidation. It is therefore used in the marine and aeronautical industry for antifriction rings. It is frequently used in the oil industry for its exceptional non-magnetic and non-sparkling properties.

Due to their advanced mechanical properties, high-strength brass is frequently compared to bronze. In fact, it is commonly referred to as HS bronze. CuZn19Al6 has a mechanical strength greater than

830 MPa (N/mm²), which makes it highly resistant to compression. CuZn23Al4 holds up well to wear, abrasion and oxidation in normal conditions. These alloys can be used in heavy load conditions.

FRW CAROBRONZE has a large inventory of round segments of CuNi14Al2, CuZn19Al6 and CuZn23Al4. Diameters range from 16 to 200mm, and larger diameters can be produced upon request. For products in stock, there is no minimum order and shipping is available for single units.
