Boots protect switches from vibration-induced actuation

Expanding its current product line of toggle switches, Carling Technologies has introduced the Carling hexboot. The boot is compatible with 15/32" threaded bushings and will provide extra protection against the elements in harsh environments. The boot also inhibits the rotation of switches subjected to low frequency vibration, such as those on board aircraft, ships and trains.

The boot is comprised of flexible tear-resistant silicone rubber overmoulded onto a 15/32" brass hexnut, completely covering the toggle actuator and bushing.

Available as full hexboots, pictured, or half hexboots, the units are RoHS compliant, according to the 2011/65/EU directive.
