A highly flexible and scalable supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solution FAST/TOOLS R10.04 is suitable for use in everything from smart IoT-enabled applications to enterprise-wide integrated operations spanning multiple sites and subsystems.

A partnership to create a solution for digital automated water management has been announced between Software AG and Telstra. Based on Telstra’s IoT platform and the Cumulocity IoT Solution Accelerator for Water Management, the solution will provide utilities with a quick way to gain insights from meter data to minimise costs involved with supplying water to customers.

Arrow Electronics has joined the MindSphere Partner Program, Siemens’ program for industrial IoT solution and technology providers. MindSphere is the cloud-based, open IoT operating system from Siemens that connects products, plants, systems and machines, enabling businesses to harness the wealth of data generated by the IoT with advanced analytics.

The use of appropriate sensor technology in production is a basic prerequisite for the implementation of Industry 4.0. It collects data on process and machine status as it arises and makes it available for various process-relevant information services and workflows.
