Martin Walder, Vice President of Schneider Electric and chair of the Engineering and Machinery Alliance (EAMA) will be chairing day two of the Industry 4.0 Summit in Manchester on Thursday 11th April 2019 to offer insight into what this change means for businesses. The summit brings together the most innovative and forward-thinking executives in the industry.
Leaders will discuss government initiatives and share their experiences in the industry that will drive change across the sector. Martin Walder will be chairing the event and highlights a number of crucial topics, including:
“Competition in a globalised world is increasingly fierce. When it comes to Industry 4.0, some questions remain, mostly crucially how to implement and introduce the new technology effectively. Manufacturers and industry leaders are aware that their processes need to be more connected, but that is easier said than done”, said Martin Walder, VP Industry at Schneider Electric. “Chairing the Industry 4.0 Summit provides a fantastic opportunity to connect leading authorities from government, business, academia & industry associations from across the country. It is a fantastic platform to share innovative ideas, best practice and to demonstrate the best technologies in the industry. We need to learn from one another. And we must promote technological innovation to increase productivity – and crucially, profitability.”
